Our cotton doesn't hurt the earth.
We work exclusively with 100% organic cotton. This means that the seeds grow without genetic modification (Non-GMO) or chemical fertilizers/ pesticides! Our organic cotton represents only 0.9% of the 26 million tonnes of cotton produced annually.
By farming organically, used water can safely return to the soil without causing any harm, which means the water is not considered lost. This also means that no soil, rivers, lakes or seas are being polluted.
Even the designs on our products are made with 100% organic ink and cotton.
Recycled polyester only
For stabilizing sweatshirts, we use recycled polyester. Recycling polyester has multiple positive effects. When not recycled, 10% of the plastic we use yearly ends up in the ocean. Recycling one ton of plastic also saves the equivalent of 1.000 to 2.000 gallons of gasoline.
In the middle of the North Pacific Gyre, there is the Great Pacific Garbage Patch – which is mostly composed of plastic. Its size? India, Europe and Mexico combined. It is no surprise that recycling plastic has an amazing impact on the climate.
Ethical working conditions
We care about people. That is why the people who made the products, are being heard and treated good. Your products are being made under Fair-Wear conditions and supervision.
We work with some of the most ethical factories in the country. The workers are being offered a legal wage, child-care facilities, maternity leave and medical cover.
Besides these components (which we think every person should receive), the labors also receive many other benefits. Think of: Free transportation, performance and attendance bonuses and rising pay scales.
